CPD Brochures & Programmes
The DBE publishes CPD brochures for each academic year, covering RE, Collective Worship, SMSC, and leadership development. Brochures are distributed to schools and made available through the DBE office.
Among the key programmes offered is the New Headteacher Induction Programme, designed to support newly appointed headteachers within the diocese's church school family as they settle into their roles.
Past Conferences & Events
The DBE has a long tradition of hosting partnership conferences and network meetings. Highlights from previous years include:
- Primary Partnership RE Conference — "Developing the RE Curriculum: Inspiration and Spirituality," held on Thursday 25th September 2014 at Beaumanor Hall.
- Secondary Partnership RE Conference — "Excellence in RE," held on Wednesday 25th June 2014 at Beaumanor Hall.
- Summer Term 2019 — RE Coordinators Training on 22nd May and an Understanding Christianity session on 12th June.
- City RE Network Meeting — Thursday 26th March 2020.
- Teaching Judaism in KS1 & 2 — a webinar held on 21st May 2020.

Booking Terms & Conditions
When booking a DBE event, the following terms apply:
- Where a course is delivered in several parts, the price covers all sessions. Unless indicated otherwise, the same participant is expected to attend every session.
- The school is responsible for ensuring the named participant attends.
- Cancellations require at least 10 working days' notice. Schools cancelling with fewer than 10 working days' notice may still be charged the full course fee.
